Who We Are
Tim Regan, Board President
My family has lived next to the Pinnacles for over 100 years and have seen it go from a local landmark to a National Park. When I was approached to be a part of a friends group to support the Pinnacles National Monument, I took it as an opportunity to help make a difference with their visitor experiences, education, and numerous special programs. By supporting Pinnacles National Park Foundation you can also help to make a difference.
Carol B. Muller, Vice President
Carol first visited the Pinnacles in the early 1980s and has continued to return in appreciation of its trails, peaks, wildflowers, wildlife, rocks, rills, stunning setting and views, and more. After a long professional career in higher education, including senior positions at Dartmouth College, Stanford University, and in founding and serving as CEO for the nonprofit organization MentorNet, she joined the Pinnacles National Park Foundation Board of Directors. In so doing, she couples her experience and knowledge in nonprofit management and learning, with other lifelong interests in hiking, natural history, and environmental stewardship. Now working independently as an occasional consultant, Carol volunteers as an advisor and board member for several nonprofit organizations, projects, and programs.
Mike Novo, Treasurer
Mike lives near the west side of the Pinnacles and is often seen hiking the trails or riding his bike to the Park. His interest in the park started as a Boy Scout camping and hiking the area back in the 1960’s. Mike has lived in San Benito and Monterey counties for the last 25 years after being raised in the Bay Area. He has worked in the Planning Departments for both counties, ensuring that land uses are carefully planned and that open space is preserved. Mike helped start the San Benito County Land Trust while living in Hollister and has recently retired as Planning Director for Monterey County. Mike also helped start the Monterey Bay chapter of the Association of Environmental Professionals over twenty years ago and leads a hike for that group in the Pinnacles in spring.
Richard Neidhardt, Director & Pinnacles Condor Fund Chair
Richard is a long-time volunteer with the condor program at Pinnacles National Park and heads up the Pinnacles Condor Fund committee of Pinnacles National Park Foundation. Having grown up on a lake in South Carolina, Richard has been involved with the outdoors his whole life and enjoys birding, hiking, and generally enjoying the natural world. In 2022, Richard was awarded the President's Lifetime Achievement Award for his many years of volunteer service to Pinnacles National Park.
Audrey Alvarado, Secretary
Audrey has over forty years of experience working in nonprofit and educational settings. She currently serves as Chairwoman of the Chalon Indian Council of Bakersfield, the governing body of the Chalon Indian Nation of California. Previous positions include – Interim President and Vice President Nonprofit Roundtable Greater Washington (DC), Senior Consultant Mosaica Counseling (DC), Executive Director National Council of Nonprofit Associations (now National Council of Nonprofits), Associate Dean Graduate School of Public Affairs and Special Assistant to the Chancellor at the University of Denver Colorado, Executive Director of the Latin American Research and Service Agency in Denver, CO and Program Director of the Hispanic Office of Planning and Education Talent Search Program in Boston, MA. She has served on numerous boards and advisory committees in key leadership positions, including National Council of La Raza (now Unidos US), BoardSource, Foundation Center, Regis University, and BBB Wise Giving Alliance.
Kimberly Brousseau, Director
Kimberly grew up on her family’s ranch near the west side of the Pinnacles. She spent many weekends hiking the Pinnacles and has always had a passion for the outdoors. She currently works as a Park Planner for the County of Santa Clara. Kimberly recently became a board member for the Pinnacles National Park Foundation and with that came the opportunity to show even more support and make a difference with the Pinnacles National Park Foundation and the new Pinnacles National Park.
Will Doolittle, Board Member
Will got his start in environmental stewardship and education working at the national office of Earth Day 1990. He went on to hold various technical and business roles in the software industry at companies such as Google, SAP, a number of startups, and now CoStar Group. He was drawn to spend time supporting Pinnacles because of its natural beauty and its role in the California condor rescue effort. Will is a longtime San Francisco Bay Area resident, and can often be seen hiking the hills around the bay. He earned his BA from Oberlin College and an MBA from UC Berkeley.
